Our story
Davis & Hill have been at the forefront of Non-Ferrous Casting and Machining for over 130 years in which time the company has gained a wealth of business acumen and an enviable reputation. Still owned and run by the Hill family, the current 4th & 5th generation of ‘Hill’s’ head up a dedicated and experience team.
Started by Jesse Hill in Summer Lane, he began make bespoke products for customers. After people experienced his quality & skilled craftsmanship, the requests kept piling up and as they say the rest is history.
We moved to Pritchett Street in 1901 and the works were rebuilt in 1934 and extended in 1974.
Through the years we have gone through many changes and advanced our business. We are still looking for the newest in technology and methodology and improving our processes every day.
What we do
Working with our long trusted suppliers and customers we provide a complete engineering and manufacturing solution. From prototype design to finished product. This is achieved through our knowledge, experience and technology.
We not only make casting but create a complete product with Machining, Heat Treatment, Impregnation, Pressure Testing, Painting & Welding processes to just name a few.
